Actually, I think you have to go all the way back to 1987 and the Star Cops episode "Conversations With the Dead" to find something similarly science-fictionally good.

Date: 2005-05-22 12:05 pm (UTC)BSG is also nearly unique in that it's an SF series that seems to try to deal seriously with religion. This fascinates me a lot, and I hope they can keep doing it without falling into trekkish monoculturalism.
