I made a bunch of smaller changes to the layout on cyberPoMo. It looks like I want it to in Mozilla, Opera and Konqueror. Could one of you IE people have a look and see if it's readable? I know about IE's buggy implementation of "background-attachment: fixed", so don't bother to tell me that the backgrounds on the front and news pages look like crap, I already know that. I'll do something about it any year now.

It looks okay, but the columns aren't even, one starts at the bottom of the right one. But the background is fixed. *G*

What? But that's just a piece of text with a floating box next to it? How can it fuck *that* up?!

And yes, the background gets fixed, the bug is that it's fixed relative to the wrong thing. It's supposed to be fixed relative to the viewport but IE fixes it relative to the surrounding box. Which means that the trick I use (two images with the same content but for their brightness level) to get a common background with various brightness levels doesn't work.

I have no idea. Do you want me to do a screen capture for you so you can see?

No, I'll borrow a Windows box at work and see for myself.
